Position: COORDINATOR, HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION

tap Strategy & HR Consulting is a boutique-style management consulting firm specializing in organizational strategy, workforce planning, end-to-end human resources services (people services), HR program development, tapHelpline, and coaching for executives, leaders and future leaders. tap Strategy is celebrating its 11th year in business and we continue to reach new heights each and every year. The tap Strategy team is made up of a team of 8 HR professionals.

Our clients are from a wide-variety of sectors including public, private, NFPs, NGO's, and Associations. Based in Ottawa, we serve clients of all size, locally, provincially, and from across Canada. We also act as key partners for international organization who do not have HR capacity in the Canadian market.

We are looking for self-driven and like-minded HR-based professionals to join our Associate team to support that growth.

Key Responsibilities:

    Under the direction of, and in collaboration with, the Senior Partners, the Coordinator, HR & Administration, is responsible for coordinating and performing administration and HR-based responsibilities, and assisting the Senior Partners of tap Strategy & HR Consulting (tap Strategy) with the development of tools, presentations and programs.  This is the ideal position for those who wish to work a majority of their time from their home under flexible arrangements.  Occasional local travel may be required.

  • Assists with and/or coordinates the work between the Senior Partners, tap Strategy consultants, clients and partners
  • Works with, reviews, develops, edits and/or formats tap Strategy drafts, tools and templates for tap Strategy administration and/or clients, while building simplified methods and mechanisms for updates
  • Liaises with the Senior Partners, tap Strategy consultants, clients and partners
  • Develops Human Resources guides, templates, and other HR materials
  • Responds to tap Strategy HR tapHelpline calls, as needed
  • Researches, reviews, develops, updates, and/or advances our tap Strategy HR Policies templates while building simplified methods and mechanisms for compliance updates and client customization
  • Assists in the development and enhancement of tap Strategy website and social media presence, and other related content, including but not limited to quick guides, tools, newsletter content, etc.
  • Coordinates and follows tap Strategy security screening process, proposal workflow process, and others as required
  • Responsible for answering and triaging tap Strategy’s main phone line
  • Performs financial administration such as invoicing, reconciliation, follow up, accounts receivable and payable, and tracking
  • Assists tap Strategy Senior Partners with client projects and activities, such as, but not limited to, workshop and program development,recruitment, job description writing, attending client meetings and/or presentations, and other work, as required
  • Performs outreach to clients and potential clients as required for business development
Position Qualifications:
  • A Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is preferred
  • A certificate, diploma or BA in human resources, administration, or other comparable field, or an equivalent mixture of relevant education, certifications, and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant human resources experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role is a strong asset
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset
  • Experience with bookkeeping and financial tracking is an asset
  • Strong and extensive knowledge of up-to-date human resources practices, trends, and national and provincial workplace and employment legislation is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated experience developing Human Resources programs and related guidelines, tools and templates is an asset
